NSW: Comanchero refused bail over airport bashing death
SYDNEY, April 1 AAP - The fifth Comancheros member charged over the fatal bikie brawl
at Sydney Airport has been refused bail.
Magistrate Allan Moore refused bail for Christian Menzies in Sydney Central Local Court
on Wednesday after the police prosecutor said witnesses had observed him as being an "active
participant" in the brawl.
Menzies, 26, was the fifth man charged with affray over the fight involving Hells Angels
and Comancheros bikies on March 22.
Anthony Zervas, 29, died as a result of the fight and his brother, Hells Angel Peter
Zervas, is recovering in hospital after being repeatedly shot on Sunday as he sat in his
car in his Sydney driveway.
